6. Outplacement
The dismissal of entire groups of employees is not usually part of daily Human Resource Management operations. Personal total has developed an approach to outplacement which helps making such a step as fair as possible for both parties.
The centre of our outplacement concept is a six to nine month period of career transition support which aims at putting separated employees into new positions. Three steps are taken to guarantee effectiveness and quality of the outplacement process:

- More than 100 consultants in over 40 offices support the job search of displaced employees;
- We have a unique insight into the employment market, based on the evaluation of job advertisements in ca. 70 German-language newspapers, magazines, and online job markets;
- Displaced employees have access to personal total’s Online Career Portal to compile professional digital application documents, and comfortably send them by email to prospective employers;
- Each step taken by candidates is documented.

Successful outplacement at Deutsche Telekom AG
By order of Deutsche Telekom AG, personal total provided outplacement services to ca. 600 junior managers in southern Germany.
After just four months, 55% of the participants had left Deutsche Telekom AG and accepted new employment. After seven months, 75% of participants had been successfully outplaced.
